Wireman (Contract)
We are currently recruiting for a couple of Manufacturing Technician vacancies for our major Aerospace and defence client based in Luton. This is a 6 month contract initially and it will mean working a 37 hour work week on day shift.
Profile
The candidates must have minimum of IPC610A preferably with IPC J-STD-001 certification or equivalent, the operating system we use is SAP all work packages are loaded onto this platform, this enables the operator to pull up all the manufacturing documents to build the product assigned to them. This would be the same across the range of products.
Job Description:
We are seeking Manufacturing Technicians to work as part of a multi-skilled team, to perform manufacturing/assembly operations in accordance with written instructions and process controls. The duties could include Assembly, Inspection and Test Tasks. The role will be carried out to meet internal and external customers' requirements in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery.
Key responsibility areas
- To process product against written work instructions, product specifications and engineering instructions working in a controlled environment
- To demonstrate positive behaviors and promote team working within a continuous improvement environment
- To support management in efficient use of resources (i.e. flexible approach to working hours/ shift work)
- To take personal responsibility for your working area, by housekeeping and workplace organization activities.
- Report all Health and Safety issues to Management attention
- Engagement in 5's, Visual Management, Lean, FOD Avoidance, ESD Protection
- Ensure Data Accuracy within the SAP Manufacturing Console and Load Boards
- Business Improvement - Effective team working, maintaining good communications between internal/external customers
- Maintain a tidy and efficient working environment and contribute to the overall AIT housekeeping activities.
- Maintain personal training and development plans in line with the PCC skills matrix
