Acorn Accountancy and Finance is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients, a world leading manufacturer in the South Wales area.

A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Finance Analyst in the Finance Business Partnering team at our client's Port Talbot site. This is an exciting time to join an area of the business going through a significant transformation and investment programme.

The main purpose of the role is to work with key business areas, supporting and advising tactical and operational decision making through insights that drive better business performance. The Senior Finance Analyst will be responsible for a small team delivering a value added service to the management team.

Duties include:
*Providing proactive, expert financial direction and decision making advice, supporting or challenging with alternatives as appropriate.
*Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve the performance of the business.
*Participate in the evaluation and implementation of investment strategies to achieve optimisation of the financial return and risk profile.
*Development of detailed financial plans and forecasts.
*Routine management of the production of monthly operational reports and commentary, including variance analysis, expenditure monitoring, materials analysis and CAPEX.
*Monitoring adherence to internal controls and policies.
*Leading the development of financial processes and reports, with a continual focus on improvement.
*Responsibility for the continuing professional development of the team.

You will be:
*Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
*Qualified with a recognised accounting professional body (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
*Possess previous relevant accounting experience and be knowledgeable of financial processes, concepts and principles in a manufacturing or engineering environment
*Be IT literate; have strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel and demonstrate experience with SAP
*Be a good communicator, able to work off own initiative to achieve set objectives and continuous improvements and have strong interpersonal skills to manage ones time appropriately with a ranging customer base
*Be able to demonstrate the interpersonal and management skills in order to lead a team of professionals in delivering an excellent service to your customers
