Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit a Finance Administrator for our team in Milton Keynes, working 37.5 hours a week on a 15 Month Fixed Term Maternity Cover basis.

The ideal Finance Administrator:

  • Proven experience working within a Finance role, ideally supporting operational site(s).
  • Previous experience of working in a busy environment
  • Understanding of key financial documents & controls
  • Working towards / desire to achieve AAT or equivalent.

Finance Administrator Role:

To work under the direction of the Financial Business Partner in providing both support and challenge to the Operational Unit Manager in all financial areas including, but not restricted to, Management Accounting, Forecasting and Budgeting. Duties include:

  • Support operational management in production of monthly Forecasts.
  • Manage the month end accounting process in line with Viridor business timescales, to produce accurately and timely month end Management Accounts, incorporating relevant variance analysis.
  • Assist operational management in production of annual Budgets.
  • Draft customer price reviews, based upon input material analyses and in line with customer contract terms and prevailing market indices.
  • Support, review and challenge business performance.
  • Develop a good understanding of the key drivers of profitability for the business and apply this knowledge in order to move the business forward.
