Graduate Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager – Energy Recovery Facility (ERF
Location: At one of our ERFs - Ardley, Beddington, Dunbar, GRREC, Runcorn or Trident Park

The Graduate EHS Manager Role

As our Graduate EHS Manager, you’ll be undertaking a key role within our ERFs and developing your knowledge, experience and skills to become a future EHS Manager. You’ll have a strong background and degree in Environmental Science, Environment or Chemical Engineering alongside some demonstrable relevant project work or work experience in these fields.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for on site environmental sampling, monitoring reports and compliance submission to internal and external bodies in accordance with Viridor procedures. You’ll have sound analytical skills when interpreting relevant environmental data to assess and improve the effectiveness of current control measures, managing actions to prevent environmental breaches or incidents.

You’ll gain a strong understanding of the plant process, risk areas and engineering to facilitate efficient and effective support of relevant teams within the ERF’s and be responsible for helping to drive training and environmental initiatives to site teams.

The Ideal Graduate EHS Manager

Our Graduate EHS Manager will have strong communication, analytical and relationship building skills alongside sound IT skills. You’ll be self-motivated and have a good attention to detail and be able to undertake a disciplined approach when required to ensure all standards are correct and met.

Knowledge of environmental databases, analysis software and legislation is key to the role, however, Health and Safety development and qualifications can be given within the role. Experience or knowledge of the waste industry or environmental services is desirable but not expected.

The role will be based at one of the following locations including Ardley,Trident Park, Runcorn, Dunbar, Beddington with travel between the different sites.
