Mechanical engineer (Contract)
Recruiting for fully apprenticed & NVQ 3 Mechanical engineers for work at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth.
You will be required to undertake the installation, repair, maintenance and manufacture of mechanical equipment & systems.
Duties to include:
Read drawings, interpret work instructions and perform the work to time, cost and quality.
Installation, repair, maintenance and manufacture of mechanical equipment & systems.
To be able to carry out surveys and pre - fit examinations of equipment, machinery and structures / fittings
Competent to use general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the role of a mechanical engineer.
Cleaning up of own work arisings.
Any other tasks within the individual's competence as directed by the company.
36 std hrs per week - Monday to Thursday 07:30-15:45 & Friday 07:30-13:30, o/t & shift work a
