RFIC Design Engineer - Dublin - 70k-85k Euros (Permanent)

Role: RFIC Engineer

Experience required:

*At least 8 years of industrial experience in relevant product development
*Is responsible for the design, implementation and verification of RF PLL blocks/subsystems up to 10 GHz and contributes to the design of evaluation systems, test harnesses, IC test boards etc.
*Proven RF CMOS track record in volume production
*Experience in PLLs, VCO's, LO Drivers and Mixers design
*In depth knowledge of complete IC Design Flow: Analog IC Architecture Design and Modelling; IP Evaluation and Selection, Analog/Digital partitioning in mixed-signal systems
*Knowledge of:
oHigh frequency CMOS RF design up to 10GHz
oLow power IC design techniques
oDesign in CMOS 40nm node
*Good working knowledge of Cadence suite of Analog design tools
*Excellent communication skills and ability to work on own initiative to come up with innovative solutions


Duties include:

*Design, verify and document RF PLL subsystems (e.g. PLL, VCO's, Mixers, LO Drivers), up to an operating frequency of 10GHz, using industry standard tools and design flows
*Work with IC Layout Design Engineers to optimise design and layout
*Create the necessary design and product documentation and host design reviews
*Characterise prototypes, developing test specifications and coordinate with test/product engineering to drive product releases
*Contribute to the development of the IC production test programme for RF blocks
*Actively participate in silicon bring-up and characterisation testing
*Support silicon debug activities such as FIB edits and metal revisions
