Social Worker - Specialist Team - Charity

A Children's Services provider is looking for Specialist Social Workers to work along side Authorities as they work with communities where girls are at risk of FGM and other harmful practices and abuse linked with Faith and/or Religion.
The Government funded project is set to run until at least 2020, training over 500 social care staff on how to identify and protect women and children from FGM. Social Workers involved in the scheme will coordinate psychological support and specialist care, as well as helping victims through court proceedings.

Work will be done with affected communities to change attitudes and behaviours, with the end goal being able provide expert advice and guidance to professionals working with children, providing a more consistent and informed response to prevent FGM.

The Service is now looking for dynamic Social Workers who genuinely care about making improvements to children's lives. Post holders will be working within a multi-agency environment with a low case load and strong support system. Specialist training will be provided along with the opportunity to support training later on. Social Workers are given flexibility by being able to work from home along with flexi-time with mornings and evening.

In order to meet short list criteria candidates must:

* Hold a Social Work Degree of equivalent
* Have previous experience with complex child protection cases/high risk social work
* Be HCPC registered
* Be based in London and willing to travel
