If so, keep reading as Ascend Diagnostics are looking for someone like you to join our team as a Quality Assurance Engineer.

Quality Assurance Engineer Role:

As our Quality Assurance Engineer, you will undertake improvement activities including optimisation of product development and design control, manufacturing and non-conformance processes with the aim to deliver an outstanding quality product and service to the company’s customers. Duties include:

  • Performing audits against the scheduled QMS and supplier audit schedules, implementing improvement action where necessary.
  • Supporting production and product development.
  • Participating in design review activities and verify the effectiveness of actions.
  • Facilitating risk management activities guided by ISO 14971:2012 or equivalent.
  • Compiling and updating of regulatory files.
  • Establishing and implementing of necessary communication strategies for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments.
  • Communication with suppliers related to quality issues.

The Ideal Quality Assurance Engineer:

As our ideal Quality Assurance Engineer, you will have experience of Quality Control Engineering in in a highly regulated manufacturing industry. Technical writing skills are essential to this role as is experience in an auditing capacity. You will also have:

  • Proven record and development to ISO standards is essential, to ISO 13485 is desirable.
  • Experience working in medical device product development is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of a product lifecycle management system (PLM) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and relevant statistical methods for quality assurance is preferred.

We’re looking for a driven individual that is happy to self-manage and prioritise their workflow. A desire to learn about the company and wider industry and excellent communication skills are key to this role. Someone with a Positive outlook and team-centric attitude with a desire to progress to a higher level will be of particular interest
