The Role
As the Business Development Manager you will be based in Aberdeen and will develop and close new business in the Oil & Gas sector. You will be selling an Expense Management software solution that helps companies in the Oil & Gas market manage their outgoings and increase savings on these. There will be an element of account management, but this will predominantly be new business. You will use your proactive skills to generate new leads, and close new business using your excellent communication and presentation skills.
This role will be margin based, so the ability to be savvy with financials is key, to ensure you sign the most profitable deals for the business, but also ensure you receive as much commission as possible!
The Candidate
The successful candidate for this Business Development Manager position will have new business sales experience working in a similar field. A focus on selling into the Oil & Gas market is required. However, we would consider good sales candidates with B2B sales experience in a related event, sponsorship, or service industry that sells into the Oil & Gas market place. The ability to communicate, present, and sell is more important than travel industry experience. Apart from when you will be travelling to meet clients, this is an office based role so you must be commutable distance to the offices in Aberdeen, but there will be client facing activities.
The Package
For this Business Development Manager role you will be rewarded with a basic salary of between £30,000 and £40,000 with uncapped commission structure bringing OTE to around £70,000. Additional benefits include laptop and phone.
