Job Title: Catering Assistant
Salary: £8.25 per hour
Location: Salisbury

Are you looking for temporary immediate work within catering?
You will be expected to demonstrate a flexible attitude to your work to meet the needs of the business and patients / customers.
As such, Catering Health Service Assistants may perform various other tasks, including general cleaning duties as required as well as the below.
Responsibilities include:
- To prepare and serve refreshments such as prepare sandwiches, rolls, salads and snacks for Patients.
- To ensure the safe storage / handling of all food items including Cook-Freeze meals, ensuring compliance with Trust Policy and current Legislation.
- To maintain a hygienic and clean condition of the Catering Department including associated areas, equipment and utensils.
- Collection and delivery of Cook-Freeze food and other food items between Hotel Services and Wards as required.
- Ensure all information appertaining to Patients and staff is kept confidential.
Essential requirements:
- Valid DBS certificate to be able to work on site
- Literate.
- Numerate.
- Able to work on own initiative and unsupervised.
Desirable experience:
- Previous experience of Catering Duties.
- Food Hygiene Awareness.
- Flexible attitude to hours of working.
You must be flexible to work 5 out of 7 days a week following two shift patterns - 08.00-16.00 and 10.00-18.00.
This role is temporary for at least a couple of months with the likelihood to go permanent if you are exceptional.
