If the answer is YES, then keep reading as Freemans Grattan Holdings now have an excellent opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team in Bradford.

The Role

The Financial Analyst will provide a professional financial and management accounting, control and reporting service to the Head of Finance for the FGH Money Business unit ensuring financial integrity across the following areas:

  • Small residual Financial Services trading account
  • Credit & Financial Services Business Unit direct and indirect overhead costs. 
  • Weekly & Monthly Securitisation reporting and Advance rate calculations

On a daily basis, your responsibilities include:

  • Production of monthly brand level FGH Money profit and loss management account schedules.
  • Production of financial period overhead cost centre reports for business unit managers taking a proactive role in investigation of the issues arising and variances.
  • Assisting FGH’s external auditors as and when required
  • Provision of internal accounting services for FGH’s outsourced postage and fulfilment operation.
  • Production of weekly and monthly securitisation reports for the banks, Group Treasury and the FGH Credit Committee.
  • The monthly calculation of the securitisation Advance Rate for onward communication to the bank.
  • Financial control of debt sale buybacks and Direct Payment processes
  • Production of the Financial Services business stream and Direct and Indirect costs annual budget and in year forecasts and supporting the production of the credit stream business stream budget and in year forecasts as requested.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate and adequate financial control of all residual Financial services revenue streams and indirect and direct costs.

Who are we looking for?

The successful Financial Analyst must be at least part (actively studying) qualified (CIMA / ACA / ACCA), with strong financial control experience in terms of Balance Sheet Control Account processes and reconciliation, invoice validation and processing; as well as cost accruals and prepayments and debtor movements. Relevant Retail or Financial Services experience in a finance department would be preferable – but some understanding of the challenges & KPI’s in managing a retail or financial services business is essential. You will also have:

  • Strong commercial awareness
  • General ledger experience
  • Strong Excel and systems skills
  • Self motivation and capability of working unsupervised
