Finance Group Reporting Analyst

Acorn is recruiting on behalf of a client of ours for a Finance Group Reporting Analyst. The vacant opportunity is based within the Reporting and Group Control department based at the businesses Port Talbot site. The jobholders primary responsibility will be to provide a management accounting service to the businesses Executive Committee and Board.

The Reporting & Group Control department provides a financial reporting and consolidation service for the whole of the business from the Finance Headquarters in Port Talbot.

Accountabilities:

To carry out this role successfully, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

· Produce the monthly management accounting for the business, including the sub-divisions This includes the production of a Flash result, Monthly Report and numerous other reports and analysis.

· Be part of forward-controlling processes, including the production of monthly Latest View updates, and Annual Plans.

· Support key other ad-hoc reporting requirements, including issues related to changes in group structure, questions arising from parent companies or external bodies.

· Produce and financially evaluate Financial forecasts for the business.

· Preparing key financial data to provide to the mergers and acquisition department and key external stakeholders, aligned to the ongoing work associated with the Joint Venture with tk.

· Act as a role model for colleagues in the area and provide strong leadership on health and safety.

· Manage and promote a right first-time environment and culture.

· Ensure all activities are undertaken in accordance with best practice standardisation, identifying and providing support to align where appropriate

Requirements / Personal Specification:

· Ideally the job holder will hold a recognised professional accounting qualification or equivalent.

· Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues, including those in other businesses and external

· Fosters a culture of high performance and achievement.

· Plans effectively and allocates appropriate resources.

· Proactively monitors and reviews results and responds accordingly.

· Ability to manage change and identify opportunities to implement improvements.

· Have strong IT skills.

Hourly Rate: £19.49 per hour

Contract Hours: 36.5 hours per week

Contract Length: 12 Month Temp (Maternity Cover)
