Commercial Manager (Permanent)

Commercial Manager / Commercial Team Leader.

Job title: Commercial Manager.
Salary: £45,000-50,000 per year plus car / mileage allowance.
Location: Plymouth.

We are currently looking for a Commercial Manager / Team Leader to join one of the top Passive Fire Safety Specialists in the United Kingdom. This is an exciting opportunity for an established Commercial leader to lead the South West Commercial team, drive the business forward, and develop the team over 2018 and beyond.

The Commercial Team Leader role will see you delivering a consistent and high quality approach to commercial management and procurement strategy whilst leading the South West team and reporting to other team leaders within various sectors. The role would suit an effective people manager who will develop strong relationships with the team and wider operations.

Essential experience required:

* Experience in Commercial Management e.g. delivery of the commercial aspects of a project.

* Knowledge in Schedule of Rates, Contract Law, CVR and WIP.

* Managed a team while delivering on an on-going project.

* 5 years as a Team Leader / Manager.

Suitable candidates should be able to:

* Negotiate with suppliers in order to secure favourable rates, payment terms and service delivery.

* Plan, manage and sign off all contract costs and manage the company purse on all projects. Manage contract notices, valuations, and variations.

* Management and motivation of staff and assessing and fulfilling Commercial Department KPIs.

* Have good judgement for discovering suitable candidates for the purpose of recruiting staff.

* Chair commercial meetings, review reports and excellent be confident in their presentational skills.

* Collaborate with separate commercial teams and team leaders to ensure efficient transfers between sectors.

Desirable experience:

* Worked with Balfour Beatty, Mitie, Vinci, Mears or Keepmoat.

* Proven ability to direct a team, plan for future growth and anticipate changing business requirements.
