Commercial Maintenance Services UK Ltd (CMS) is a successful, privately owned commercial building maintenance, services and supply company serving the whole of the UK. Established in 2000, the businesses' approach to growth has been organic and conservative and their success is built upon their core values of responsiveness, integrity and expertise. The business has grown by 20% over the last three years and has exciting plans for the future. As a result of continued expansion, they are now seeking to appoint a Commercial Maintenance Electrician to be based in the North East.

You will be working within a variety of interesting environments including prestigious five-star hotels, commercial and industrial businesses, care homes and commercial catering environments. You will primarily be undertaking electrical maintenance, repair, and installation work, so each job will bring a new challenge. You will diagnose faults, so previous experience of fault finding in commercial environments and being able to interpret controls wiring diagrams as well as a sound knowledge of health and safety is essential. Although working as part of a specialist Electrical division you will often be working alone, so you should be comfortable to work unsupervised with minimal information from the customer. A knowledge of HVAC control systems would also be useful.

Formal training will be provided and regularly undertaken, so there is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge, however being time-served with existing 17th Edition, 2391 electrical Testing & Inspection, NVQ Level 3 and AM2 qualification, are all preferred.

Working a 40-hour week, you will participate in a call-out rota of 1 in every 4 weeks and you will be rewarded with a lucrative call out fee. There is also an opportunity to gain Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) or excellent overtime pay. Occasional, overnight (1-2 nights) work outside of the North East may be a part of the role and you will often be staying in one of the luxury hotels that CMS support.
