Horizon Teachers are currently looking for a Food Technology technician to work within a great Secondary school located in Stratford, East London.

Are you an experienced Food Technology technician or a recent graduate looking for a role within the design Technology department in a great secondary school?

As a Food Technology Technician you will work closely within the Technology department and provide vital in class support as well as ensuring lessons are correctly resourced and set up. Having a strong knowledge of Food Technology and the workings of a catering environment is essential. A background in Food or Food Technology will enable you to work well in this role, throughout the day you will be required to support students as well as ensuring that catering equipment is maintained and used correctly. Previous school experience is not essential but candidates who have worked in schools as a Design Technology technician will be looked on favourably.

The school that we are working with is a good school who really value all of their staff. The Design Technology department is very well-resourced and has modern equipment that you will be working with. In this role you will be able to gain experience and also progress with the possibility of a permanent contract in the future. This is a great position and for the right individual would make a great support job.

Design Technology Technicians looking to apply for this role must;
• Be able to work effectively in a team,
• Be able to interact with staff and students
• Have an understanding of Food Technology, the kitchen environment and be able to use/demonstrate its use.
• Be an excellent communicator able to interact with students
• Be able to maintain a working kitchen including stock control.
