Injection Moulding Setter (Permanent)

Acorn are recruiting for an Injection Moulding Setter to contribute to the plastics manufacturing by managing all aspects of the preparation prior to the production commencing.
This is a permanent role based in St Austell, with a salary of around £24k. You must be flexible and able to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern to include days and nights.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
*Carry out daily equipment safety checks
*Undertake fault finding and planned preventative maintenance
*Carry out process colour changes in line with the requirements of the operational plan
*Conduct effective and efficient shift handovers
*Communicate any issues to the production manager, team leader, maintenance and tooling departments for corrective action as and when required

Occasionally, you may be required to carry out specific project work, which may or may not be within the normal operational environment and will require communication across all departments.
You may also be required to stand in for other operational roles as and when required.

Qualifications/ knowledge;
*Ideally you will be first aid trained
*Knowledge of plastics processing ancillary equipment
*IMT 2, GA training and/or NVQ2 Polymer processing is advantageous but not essential

You will be working for a well-known company, with over 40 years' experience delivering high-quality technical plastic injection mouldings.
