Waste / Recycling Collectors - Newton Abbot (Temporary)

Do you enjoy working outdoors and getting your daily steps in whilst being paid for it?
We need energetic and flexible people to work at the local Council in the Refuse and Recycling teams and street sweeping teams.
You will work Monday to Friday with a 6:30am start, collecting residential refuse and recycling within the local districts.
It is a physically demanding job, on your feet, with lifting and shifting, and working as part of a small team. You will be handling unsanitary waste, so need to be good at dealing with unpleasant odours, and standing up all day in all weathers.
Duties:
- Bin and recycling collections.
- Street and parish sweep.
Benefits:
- Up to £8.55 per hour.
- Overtime at time and a half (over 37 hours) - after 12 weeks of work.
- Double time on Sundays - after 12 weeks of work.
Hours:
- Monday to Friday - 6.30am start until finish each day (normally a 7.5 hour working day).
- Finish times can vary so you will need to be flexible, and you will have bank holidays off.
- Occasional Saturdays and Sundays as required.
