My client in Reading are forming a new development team and to work on a brand-new flagship product for the company.
They're a global software company, developing web products and solutions with over 1,500,000 users worldwide. They have been operating for over 25 years and have a list of clients that would make most software companies jealous, including many of the FTSE 100.
They operate a true development environment and culture, it was built by developers for developers. You will be surrounded by other people that are passionate about programming and love to learn and improve their skills.
The developers here really understand WHY they building things and WHAT is it being used for, rather than focussing on WHAT technology is being used - so you'll gain a lot of commercial acumen here and benefit from seeing how software development translates in business success.
You'll be working in a lean/agile framework you will play a major role in the development of new modules/features - They are ideally looking for people who have skills in Java, databases and web systems - and any experience of experience of JavaScript and Java open source frameworks is advantageous.
However, they are flexible, as they are talking to developers with all levels of experience, so if you like the sound of the product and technology, I would love to speak with you about this company.
The salary package is £45,000 to £55,000 (depending on the depth of your experience) plus 5% pension, flexible working, remote working and 25 days holiday.
