Electronics and software engineer - Poole - CAD, IoT, PCB (Permanent)

ISL are working with a client based in Poole who are looking to hire an experienced embedded and electronics engineer.


As Mid/Senior Electronics & software design Engineer you will be familiar with the design and specification of electronics for control of electromechanical systems under software control. Ideally you will have experience of graphic user and touchscreen interface and NFC and internet (IoT) capable systems.

You will be diverse in your capabilities from establishing technical & regulatory requirement from stakeholders, design and specification, and verification activities. You will work closely with the project management, sales, service, quality, purchasing and production teams to ensure a compliant product is realised in a timely manner.

You will manage the definition, and configuration of all electronic systems ensuring that documentation is complete and filed to enable multiple sourcing, and quality control of incoming parts.


The candidate should be confident in these areas:


-Investigation, diagnosis and fault finding of electrical control systems
-Experienced in the use of a CAD system or similar for generation of electrical and electronic schematics, loom and electrical layout definition & BoM generation.
-Awareness and experience of using a PDM/PLM system for data management, and configuration control.
-Design and execution of experiments, validation and verification activities to support concepts, simulation activities, and validate performance.
-Compile Reports to substantiate design and support future developments
-Familiar with the assessment of compliance against specification for both bought in and internally developed products and sub-systems.
-Organised and able to plan and manage own time and workload
-Good analytical and MS Excel skills
