CDM Lead (Contract)

Our client is looking for a CDM Lead to be independently responsible for the following work:-

Supporting the development and implementation of the company's arrangements for complying with CDM regulations, as the project progresses.

Provide assurance that CDM duty holders are complying with legal requirements.

Carry out regular CDM duty holder monitoring in both office and site locations.

Develop and deliver CDM-related awareness training to project organisation and supply chain.

Support the Commercial and Procurement department in the review and evaluation of the competency of contractors / suppliers.

Collate and communicate monthly metrics to verify compliance of duty holders.

Communicate with Regulator on CDM matters.

Other works requested by Senior QHSE Manager and/or Head of Infrastructure

Knowledge, skills and attributes:

Candidates must have:

Degree qualification in Construction or Engineering.
Formal health, safety and environmental qualifications - ideally NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
Chartered membership of relevant engineering institution
Minimum of ten years' experience of practical implementation of CDM regulations within multi-disciplinary EPCM organisation.
Extensive knowledge and experience of the implementation of UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
Experience of implementing requirements of CDM regulations with non-UK supply chain organisations
Experience of working under nuclear site licence requirements an advantage.
Excellent communication skills.
Willingness and ability to travel as required.
