Asset Manager - Warrington - 6 Months +

Job Purpose
The Asset Manager is a prominent position supporting the business to maximise the potential of the facilities and equipment to support the commercial delivery of customer funded work and internal research and development. The role holder will be responsible for the implementation of and adherence to the processes, policies and procedures for Asset Management. The role holder shall be responsible for ensuring that the asset is managed and available in accordance with the Asset Management Plan and procedures, owning the risk assessments of assets, providing information to the decision makers within the capability areas and compliance teams to ensure assets are ready for service and comply with Site Licence conditions.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in working in asset management, holding people to account, be detail orientated, providing management level information and able to work to stringent deadlines

Accountabilities and Measures
Asset Management Strategy, Policies & Procedures: the Asset Manager shall be responsible for developing and implementing the Asset Management Strategy and associated policies and procedures.
Governance: the Asset Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the Asset Management process is subjected to the appropriate level of governance.
Asset risk management: the Asset Manager shall be responsible for owning and maintaining asset risk registers to ensure the business can make informed decisions in regards to maintenance, spares, capability and delivery needs to drive budget allocation and priorities.
Asset Condition Inspection Programmes : the Asset Manager, in conjunction and in support of the Engineering Manager, shall be responsible for developing condition inspection programmes to improve asset availability, associated reports and inform the business in the decision making process for substantial investment.
Management of Outage Scheduling: the Asset Manager shall be responsible for producing and implementing outage schedules to maximise the availability of the assets without impacting any safety or compliance requirements
Asset Management Database: the Asset Manager shall be the owner of the Asset Management Database data, primary point of contact for updating the Database and producing associated management reports.
Asset Assessments: the Asset Manager shall be responsible for ensuring that all assets have the applicable level of Asset Assessment carried out to capture all required details including core asset data, financials, safety features, spares, maintenance and risk.
Maintain Asset Spares Inventory: the Asset Manager shall be responsible for maintaining an accurate Asset Spares inventory, working alongside Lab Ops & Compliance assessing what spares are deemed critical and own any investment business cases to hold any stock.
Contract Management: the Asset Manager shall be responsible for the contract management of any 3rd parties related to Asset Management such as procurement of asset spares, maintenance activities or removal of an asset.
Sharing of Best Practice: the Asset Manager shall attend any Forums (internal or external) as requested to keep abreast of best practice around Asset Management. They shall be responsible for sharing and implementation of any learning around their own area(s) of responsibility.
Lifetime Plans: the Asset Manager shall be responsible for the development and maintaining of all Asset Lifetime Plans relevant to their area(s) of responsibility.
Site Specific Regulations: the Asset Manager shall ensure all Asset Management processes and governance is aligned to all site regulations including correct management of all documentation associated with their area(s) of responsibility.
Budgets: the Asset Manager will hold and manage budgets as well as being responsible for driving risk based assessments to allow the business to make informed decisions in relation to business area budgets relating to assets, such as maintenance

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Experienced in full asset management lifecycle with demonstrable knowledge of the Asset Management process.
Experienced in Risk Management processes and best practise
Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Qualified to Certificate or Diploma level, or is working towards qualification.
Membership of recognised engineering or scientific institution e.g.IMechE, IET, IchemE
Must demonstrate an ability to analyse and interpret complex information from several, sometimes conflicting sources, with a proven problem solving ability in order to make decisions based upon this information.
Highly motivated with the ability to communicate concepts to diverse audiences with varying skills.
Nuclear Licenced Site on plant experience.
Knowledge of safety case requirements
Ability to manage budgets
Project Management Experience
Leadership skills
Strong communication skills and ability to communicate to various parties both internal and external
