Care Assistant (Permanent)

My client is providing a variety of specialist care services for adults with mental health needs and/or learning disabilities, in both residential and day resource settings.

The organisation is currently looking for support workers who will have the pleasure to join dynamic caring and competent team members who are aiming to improve people's lives.

This is an exciting opportunity for somebody who would like to work in care and provide specialist care services to adults with learning disabilities, mental disorder, dementia and autism.

Missions:

- Supporting adults with their day-to-day needs through encouragement and promoting a positive environment.

- Supporting them with daily needs and everyday household tasks, encouraging and assisting them to take part in activities, accompany and assisting them with appointments and shopping

- Carrying out personal care and completing some basic administration tasks.

Profile:

- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities in order be able to interact with them in a positive way and encourage them to fulfil their full potential.

- Ability to use your initiative, adapt to changing situations and demonstrate your excellent verbal communication skills.

- An NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable but not essential if the right candidate is able to demonstrate a genuine interest to learn and develop.
