Data Scientist / Government Role (ends today) (Contract)

Location: Yorkshire & Humberside, Leeds (YH Leeds) - Trevelyan Square, LS1 6AE (YH Leeds 1 Trevelyan Square, LS11 5BZ)

Salary: £27.33 per hour

Security clearance: BPSS (Basic Disclosure)

Today we are looking for a Data Scientist who will work as a government contract. (Possible to apply only through agency)

There is also to consider the fact that working as contractor for the government is really safe and there wouldn't e any problem because the work is granted.

It is required to have:

• Experience of maintaining dashboards in Power BI, Tableau or other BI tools.
  * Experience of developing and maintaining code and processes using languages and tools such as SAS, SPSS, STATA, Hadoop, Splunk, Kibana and JavaScript.
  * Experience with using record level data.
  * Experience of maintaining code and processes using SQL and R or Python.
  * Ability to maintain code and processes using software such as Python, R or Hadoop.
  * Ability to identify innovative uses of data.
  * Ability to understand and interpret results, apply the results to the given problem and suggest conclusions to be drawn.
  * Predictive modelling via supervised or unsupervised machine learning.
  * Developing and maintaining code using programming languages and tools, such as SQL or VBA.
  * Creating standard operating procedures (SOPs), which can be referred to by other members of the team.
  * Analysis of raw data.
  * Requirements gathering for complex technical processes and/or testing processes.

Qualifications
Essential
* Educated to Master's degree level, or equivalent specialist experience, backed up by additional and continual professional development. Data Scientist
* Educated to Master's degree level in a technical subject, such as Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science, and / or equivalent experience and specialist knowledge across a number of data science areas.

Other
* Rare travel to events and customer sites throughout England, as required by the job.
