The Position:

The Postholder's duties will include high level management of a portfolio/programme of projects across the business, managing them in a co-ordinated way to obtain benefits and control not available from managing the projects individually where programmes may include elements of related work outside scope of the discrete projects in the program. The Postholder will also ensure projects within the programme are successfully delivered in line with agreed overall programme timescales and budgets.

The successful applicant will have extensive experience of programme/project management using a recognised methodology and with responsibility for overall programme delivery, risk management and budget. They will have experience of strategy definition, communications and stakeholder management, experience of managing a cross-discipline team and proven experience of problem-solving and influencing skills. The ability to work on their own initiative in all areas of work, be capable of making decisions within the remit of the programme and take personal responsibility for making things happen is also required for this role.
