We are looking for an experienced research analyst with excellent writing & presenting skills to join its growing research and analysis team to produce engaging, thought provoking content for our market leading, global business intelligence brands within the asset management sector.

The recruit will help the team produce analytical articles and research reports for investor relations professionals, service providers and allocators in the alternative investment industry. Their role will initially focus on macro-level hedge fund trends - creating content for an industry-leading
hedge fund product - before expanding to cover real estate, private debt, and other asset classes.

The successful candidate will be adept at drawing actionable insights from potentially complex data sets and articulating those findings through compelling writing and informative charts. They will also have excellent interpersonal skills, used when interviewing and presenting to senior investment professionals, and when developing a network of contacts willing and able to assist with research
projects.

They will be excited by the prospect of working as part of a small but increasingly influential team; from devising new content and processes that grow the team's influence within the wider business, to undertaking more routine tasks, such as collecting responses to online surveys and data from online sources.

The role:

Taking a leading role in the production our macro series of quarterly 'spotlight' reports
Writing regular analysis articles on a range of alternative investment-themed topics
 Developing a new series of macro-themed analytical articles for investment professionals
 Working with the marketing team to ensure our reports and articles are successful
 Interviewing senior professionals working within the alternative investment industry
 Giving presentations and moderating panels for clients and event attendees
 Creating easy-to-understand charts and infographics using Infogram software
 Helping to design questionnaires and advising on methodology of data collection
 Hitting targets for collecting responses to online surveys of allocators and fund managers
 Collecting data on individual businesses through online research and data scraping
 Making recommendations based on the data collected

What you NEED

Ideally solid knowledge of the investment and alterative investment industry
Proven experience as an analyst with excellent interpersonal and writing skills
Strong analytical mind, high attention to detail, able to produce a range of content, articles, reports and info graphs to tell a storey with the data
Able to make conclusions with statistical data, recognise patterns
Excellent presenting skills - can't be shy of stating up in front of a room presenting
Willingness to travel out of pandemic
Strong excel and data visualisation tools
