Goods In/Out Operative (Permanent)
This is a full-time and permanent opportunity to join a busy warehouse environment in Marchington. The warehouse operative team process incoming deliveries; clean, test or refurbish all our used parts; and put together orders large and small for packing and shipping. The day will fly by as they often have a quick turnaround, but you'll find a lot of training, support and a great team spirit.
The role will involve packing orders from their in-house stock. This busy role requires concentration, motivation and energy; everybody works under pressure to reach deadlines. You will work closely with other warehouse teams, so you need to have good communication skills, a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Key responsibilities include:
- Pack and label orders for shipment
- Follow company guidelines regarding packaging with high attention to detail
- Performing packing operations in accordance with time, quality and quantity targets
- Quality Control of processed stock / packaged items, ensuring it meets company standards for customer satisfaction
- Use of bespoke internal database to aid in product accuracy checks
- Liaising with other warehouse teams
· Keeping your working area clean and stocked and ready to work
- Replenishing packaging machines with packing materials (e.g. bubble wrap, wrapping / strapping)
- Ensure all processes and working practices comply to Company / Site procedures.
- Maintain compliance to Health and Safety policy and all other associated Accreditation's and procedures.
- You must be comfortable dealing with queries on a day-to-day basis, deal with ad hoc tasks as required.
