Social Worker Assistant - Early Help Locality Team

South Wales based Local Authority (Bridgend) is seeking a Family Support Worker to join their Early Help and Locality Team till 31st August. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an authority which offers home working and autonomy as to how you can work which can fit in with your out of work commitments as you will be managing your own diary.

Family support workers will act as key workers and provide support for families with unmet needs to prevent or minimise the risk of needs escalating.

Currently the Local Authority have social workers in place covering the workload, however this vacancy is a result of a drive to increase the amount of staff and further bolster stability through the service. This is predominantly a stable service with other members of staff being in post for at least over 2 years.

Your responsibilities would be:

• Working with Children and Families
• Supporting Social Worker across the County Borough
• Managing a Caseload

Requirements:

• Car and Full Drivers License (may consider non car driver)
• 12 Months Experience
