Acorn is recruiting for a temp to perm warehouse operative/cover driver for their manufacturing client based in Preston, PR5.
The company has more than four decades of history improving the efficiency of their customers' supply chains. With experience in more than 100 industries, the team of 1,200 works across 70 sites on three continents, supporting in excess of 3,500 diversified customer locations. They supply multiple Total Supply Management TM Solutions, which provide their customers with the products they need, utilising in excess of 10,000 supplier partnerships.

Hours of work are:
Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4pm and Friday, 7.30am - 3pm
The rate of pay is between £9.50 and £10.25 per hour dependant upon experience
Duties will include
* Handballing stock from deliveries
* Order Picking and Packing
* Stock control
* Shrink wrapping, labelling and palletising
* Delivering stock to customers when required
* Other ad hoc duties as directed
The ideal candidate must:
* Be hard working, punctual with very minimal sick days.
* Have a Knowledge of picking orders
* Be well organised and tidy.
* Have a good work ethic and be a self-starter who also works well as part of a team.
* Speak fluent English as needs to relay back to site and customers.
* Be strong and able to lift heavy goods.
* Have a pleasant manner with a willingness to learn.
* Work well in a team and also on the own.
* Hold a valid clean UK driving licence.
