Acorn is proud to be recruiting for Production Operatives for their busy manufacturing client based on Omega Business Park in Warrington.
The roles are initially temporary ongoing but may lead to permanent roles after successful completion of all training and probation period on site.
Hours of work consist of 12 hour days and 12 hour nights on a shift basis and do include some weekend working - totalling a 48 hour working week.
Benefits of the role:
* The basic rate of pay is £11.17 per hour.
* All hours are paid including breaks.
* Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate.
* Agency staff receive (pro-rata) discretionary annual bonus in April, at exactly the same rate as permanent operatives, provided they're still employed and started prior to end of September the previous year.
* Excellent prospect of full time.
* Free tea and coffee.
* Regular free lunches on site.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
* Conduct and improve line setup and changeovers.
* Consistently ensure optimum food safety of all products on the production line, including correct segregation of Allergens.
* Ensure safe working practice whilst maintaining CCP and PPE compliance.
* Assist with shift handovers and team briefs ensuring maximum efficiency and communication.
* Monitor business waste, compile and implement solutions for reduction of waste.
* Housekeeping duties.
The ideal candidate will:
* Have previous manufacturing/machine operation experience.
* Understand Food Hygiene and HACCP standards.
* Have strong problem solving skills.
* Be comfortable working within time constraints, able to meet deadlines.
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be able to work within different areas of the business as successful candidate may be required to work in additional areas to meet business needs.
* Have a hands on can do attitude.
