Requirements

• Applicants must hold GCSE English Language, Maths and ICT (Grades A-C) OR Essential skills level 2 or equivalent PLUS
• EITHER a recognised degree (Level 6) qualification in a Computing subject (e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering etc.) or subjects such as Electronics Engineering, Business, Multimedia with appropriate IT content AND have a minimum of 1 year's relevant experience in an industrial and/or educational setting within computer science, software engineering, networking or smart technologies
• OR a recognised Level 5 qualification** in a Computing subject AND have a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in an industrial and/or educational setting within computer science, software engineering,networking or smart technologies.
• All existing tutors must be previously recognised by the Department for the Economy (DFE)
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting including Access NI and compliance due to the nature of this work

Responsibilities

• Deliver and promote training and teach on a range of programmes
• Fulfil the role of class tutor with administrative and pastoral responsibilities
• Developresources appropriate for teaching and learning in the subject area
• Participate in staff training and development activities to update and enhance your own knowledge, skills and professional competence needed to carry out the role effectively
• Review and evaluate provision to ensure quality assurance in all areas
• Co-ordinate programmes of study
