The Role:

At GUS, we are seeking a Project Coordinator & Executive Assistant to join our Executive office and provide first-hand, Project Coordination expertise and administrative support to the Portfolio Managing Directors.

This is a diverse role where no two days will be the same; the ability to think on your feet using your own initiative in an environment that moves fast and changes often is key. The primary element of the role encompasses Project Coordination, hence requiring the post holder to work collaboratively with team members and other stakeholders to achieve deliverables in a timely and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate & insight into the role:

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in working with senior stakeholders across different geographic locations around the world and be able to effectively manage and direct business affairs on a day-to-day basis. A top-level summary of the role would include:

  • Be detail-oriented and be a solution focused individual, keen on making an impact within private education
  • Coordinate and oversee projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Prepare and edit documents, as required.
  • Adopt a structured approach to projects from initial stages to completion.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, often in senior positions, and build strong professional relationships with all involved in order to gain influence and credibility.
  • Under the guidance of the respective members of the Executive Team, monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to define project scope, goals and deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Analysing problems from a neutral perspective and steer discussions in the critical areas of the project.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and effectiveness in project execution.
  • Conduct research, gather data and contribute insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Maintaining confidential information with the highest level of professionalism and discretion
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement innovative solutions.
  • Have excellent ability in working with numerical data and translating this into meaningful information via reports, and dashboards.
  • Managing complex calendar, appointments, and travel arrangements for executives
