Geotechnical/Engineering Geologist - Fast career Progression - Midlands

Are you a talented Engineering Geologist or Geotechnical Engineer with experience in the quarrying, construction, or waste industries? Our client is an established Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, providing technical expertise in the industry for 40 years. As they take on more nationally significant projects, they seek a consultant to lead and manage geotechnical projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities;

• Supervise and project manage geotechnical projects nationwide.
• Provide technical support to office-based staff and review their work.
• Offer assistance and guidance to site-based staff, including conducting site visits and attending meetings.
• Engage in both office-based and site-based work, with the occasional option to work from home.
• Undertake site works such as landfill engineering construction quality assurance, earthworks supervision, site investigations, and surveying.
• Perform office-based tasks, including preparing technical reports and specifications, conducting desk studies, and reviewing and collating data.
• Familiarity with MS Office Software is essential, and knowledge of SLOPE/W, AutoCAD, and LSS draughting packages would be advantageous.

Requirements:

• Experience in geotechnical consultancy, regulation, or contracting.
• A BSc in Geology or Earth Sciences (with a geotechnical element) or a BEng in Civil Engineering is required.
• An advantage: A Masters Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject.
• Full UK driving licence.

Salary and benefits:

• Competitive salary ranging from 28 - 45k depending on experience and credentials
