The Role

• Detecting and analysing compressor and plant problems at site.
• Advising our customers on possible problem-solving possibilities.
• Executing preliminary adjustments/modification to assure at least a limited operation of the equipment.
• Member or Leader of tasks forces to verify the root cause for failure in cooperation with customers and BC internal specialists.
• Recognized as key person in compressor and compressor system know how.
• Actively participating in verification, defining and implementing of improvements.
• Leading of or participating in small groups to monitor application specific issues on reciprocating equipment related to Reliability & Availability figures.
• Conducting special technical trainings for our customers as well as Burckhardt colleagues.

Who are you?

• Ideally a technical apprenticeship followed by a mechanical engineering degree.
• Several years of experience in installation, commissioning of capital goods, ideally reciprocating compressors.
• Beside the mechanical know how, basic know how on programming and control skills are expected.
• Fluency in English is a must, any other official language of Switzerland, Spanish or Chinese is of advantage. Reaching German C1 level is expected, two years after joining Burckhardt Compression AG.
