Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 FTE depending on experience

Location:

This is an office-based role and you will be based at our Head Office in Borough, close to London Bridge. You may also be required to travel to our operational sites in Essex (Purfleet) and Sussex (Lancing and St Leonards-on-Sea). Travel expenses will be paid.

Hours:

22.5 - 30 hours per week which can be spread across 3 or 4 days. Exact days and hours will be mutually agreed.

The Role:

As the In-house Recruitment Consultant, you will work closely with line managers across the company seeking to fully understand their recruitment needs and attract the best candidates into the business. You will have the opportunity to shape the company's recruitment strategy going forwards and this busy, varied role is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and broaden your experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist line managers with preparation of job descriptions, person specifications and adverts and screen potential candidates
  • Advise on appropriate salary for successful recruitment
  • Determine best places to advertise, balancing cost with need to attract good range of quality candidates
  • Agree interview questions with line manager and participate in first interviews
  • Provide feedback to unsuccessful candidates
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies and negotiate fees
  • Ensure all new starters undergo relevant induction training and have a successful transition into the company
  • Perform new employee reviews (after 1 month)
  • Perform exit interviews
  • Any other duties as required

The Candidate:

As our In-house Recruitment Consultant you will have:

  • Proven experience in a recruitment role either internal or agency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
  • A self-starter motivated to set & deliver the agenda and is happy to work autonomously
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Solid IT skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Positive, friendly and approachable
  • Ability to balance a busy workload with minimal direction
