Our client, a leading nationwide fire protection firm, is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join their dynamic team based in Bingham, Nottingham NG13 8GG. This is a permanent position offering an exciting opportunity for experienced estimators looking to make a significant impact in the fire protection industry.

Responsibilities of the Senior Estimator:

  • Organising tender information and determining client requirements.
  • Conducting take-offs from tender documentation and researching, preparing, and proposing specifications where applicable.
  • Researching labour, plant, and material costs to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Performing site surveys to gather essential project information.
  • Obtaining quotes/prices from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Creating, amending, or populating pricing documents with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Attending post-tender, pre-start meetings to discuss project requirements.
  • Reviewing and negotiating proposed contract terms.
  • Specification writing to meet project specifications and client needs.

Requirements for the Senior Estimator:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Estimator in the fire protection or related industry.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate estimates.
  • Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with fire protection systems and related industry standards.
