Job Title: Engineering Administrator
Location: Oakhampton
Hours: Full-time; Monday - Friday 08.30am -17.00pm
Contract: Permanent (Hybrid working and flexible working can be discussed upon application)
Salary: up to £27,000 Per Annum (Dependent on experience)
Acorn by Synergie is excited to be recruiting a detail-oriented Engineering Administrator to join a innovative Engineering company in Oakhampton.
Scope of the role:
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for the right person to support the Engineering and Senior Management team across a wide range of products. You will play a pivotal part in the success of our projects by contributing to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of documentation throughout the entire project / product lifecycle.
Main responsibilities include:
* Assist the engineering managers and senior members of engineering to track projects, capture stakeholder requirements and complete documentation.
* Including tracking standard changes and their effect on products.
* Assist in the design, development, testing and documentation throughout the project / product lifecycle.
* Assist all parts of engineering to review, maintain and produce the documentation required. Especially preparation of designs for handover to production.
* Assist with testing all outputs of engineering against specifications, including software.
* Assist with performing reviews and audits of the processes and project outputs.
* Assist with market research and competitor knowledge in the early stages of project inception.
* Assist with the drafting and review of social media posts and customer-facing documents produced by engineering.
* Aid in the search and procurement of components.
* If technically capable and sufficiently trained, perform design tasks and site work, with prototypes or similar. This could involve an element of travel.
* Work towards the progression into a project manager within engineering.
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
Essential:
* Previous experience within a manufacturing and engineering company (with experience of admin functions within the business)
* Full Driving licence and own transport due to location and for occasional site / client visits etc.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word PowerPoint and Outlook.
* Ability to manage and prioritise you own workload often working on multiple projects at one time.
* Logical and methodical approach.
* Awareness of HSE requirements
* Ability to problem solve using own initiative
* Remaining calm under pressure
* Willingness to learn new processes and tasks
Desirable:
* A-Levels (STEM subjects preferred)
* Health and Safety qualification or training (desirable but not essential)
