Are You Ready to Step Into a World of Freedom and Innovation?

We aren't just another company, but a trailblazer in chemical technology, nestled in the heart of West Manchester. Here, we're not just making dyes; we're colouring the future of numerous industries with our unparalleled expertise. Our niche market isn't just our playing field; it's our fortress, offering you job security and a chance to work on products that dominate the market.

Your New Role:

As our Detector Technologist, you're not just an engineer; you're an innovator, a problem-solver, and a trendsetter. Your mission? To advance our marker detectors to the peak of precision and reliability. You'll be the orchestrator for the symphony of optics, electronics, firmware, and communication technologies, transforming ideas into tangible, cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively harmonise with the Marker Systems Business Unit, orchestrating the detector development plan. Your role is pivotal in syncing technology evolution with business strategy, pinpointing and capturing emerging opportunities with precision timing.
  • Lead a diverse ensemble of detector technology elements - from the finesse of optics to the rhythm of electronics, the choreography of firmware, and the seamless integration of communication technologies like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular.
  • Oversee the creation of their protective shelters and travel companions (enclosures and carry cases), and ensure their harmonious integration into Purechain, our data management symphony. Achieve this through a blend of personal expertise, the direction of skilled contractors, and the harmony of strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate closely with Stewardship and external bodies to rigorously test our detectors. Your mission is to ensure they not only meet but exceed the safety standards, setting new benchmarks in detector safety.

The Ideal candidate has:

  • A University degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of computer optics and electronics, coding, and computer-aided design.
  • A knack for engaging with a spectrum of individuals, from suppliers to customers.
  • Mastery in communication across various platforms.
  • A highly organised personality with record-keeping skills.

Perks and Benefits:

  • Work-Life Balance Redefined: Enjoy a relaxed 35-hour full-time schedule, while others are still stuck in the 40-hour grind, as well as reduced summer hours with full pay! (Just 30 hours a week in August)
  • We're a family-run business offering not just a job, but a journey. With us, you get the autonomy to make your mark and the flexibility to dance to your own rhythm.
  • Dive into Uncharted Territories: In larger companies, you're a cog in the machine; with us, you're the engine. Get exposure to a spectrum of areas, usually hidden behind the corporate veil.
  • A treasure trove of benefits: profit-related pay, healthcare plans, flu vaccinations, and more.
  • An enriching environment for personal and professional growth.
  • The joy of cycling to work with our cycle-to-work scheme, and free parking for those four-wheel days.

So, Are You Ready to Join the Revolution?

With us, you're not just taking a job; you're igniting a career path filled with innovation, growth, and a touch of the extraordinary. If you're ready to step into a role where every day is different, where your ideas are heard and your work impacts the future, then we're waiting for you.
