Our client is a proud to be a family-owned business with a longstanding history in automotive maintenance and repair.

They are a leading accident repair group in the South with state-of-the-art sites from London to Dorset. Their specially trained team are on hand to remove the stress from accidents, getting their clients back on the road quickly and safely.

Your Role

Panel departments are responsible for the stripping out and re-fitting of all parts required to carry out repairs to damaged vehicles. All stripping must be carried out as per job card, or other instruction from the Workshop Controller. A high standard must be achieved at all times. Liaising with other members of staff is essential in this role to help the throughput of work.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting extra parts needed to Workshop Controller/Estimator
• Complete check sheet at each stage
• Repair as per job card
• Jig and pull if required or requested
• Check repair methods before carrying out repairs
• Set up welding equipment correctly as per repair methods
• Use extraction at all times
• Align all panels
• Use correct fillers for repair
• Check operations manual for repair systems/filler application
• Cleaning up the work area and making sure that plant and equipment is working correctly, any faults found, immediately inform management of findings
• Responsible for and supervising unqualified staff as necessary
• Liaising with other departments
• Report any problems to Workshop Controller
