Handyman Multi (Temporary)
Job Title: Skilled Handyman for Commercial Sites in Birmingham
Monday- Friday, 40 hours paid.
Ongoing work available.
As a Handyman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our clients' commercial properties in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set and have experience in various trades.
Core skills;
- First fix carpentry.
- Plaster boarding
- Basic drainage.
- Decorating.
- Tiling.
- Brick/ Blockwork
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of commercial properties to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Complete minor carpentry work, including repairing doors, windows, and cabinetry.
- Assist with the installation and assembly of furniture, fixtures, and equipment as needed.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritise tasks based on urgency.
- Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard of quality and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Collaborate with other team members and contractors to coordinate maintenance projects effectively.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Handyman or in a similar maintenance role, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- CSCS card
- Happy to be DBS checked
- Strong knowledge of various trades
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour as required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
