Handyman Multi (Temporary)

Job Title: Skilled Handyman for Commercial Sites in Birmingham

Monday- Friday, 40 hours paid.

Ongoing work available.

As a Handyman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our clients' commercial properties in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set and have experience in various trades.

Core skills;

1. First fix carpentry.
2. Plaster boarding
3. Basic drainage.
4. Decorating.
5. Tiling.
6. Brick/ Blockwork

Responsibilities:

1. Perform general maintenance tasks.
2. Conduct routine inspections of commercial properties to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
3. Complete minor carpentry work, including repairing doors, windows, and cabinetry.
4. Assist with the installation and assembly of furniture, fixtures, and equipment as needed.
5. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritise tasks based on urgency.
6. Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard of quality and in compliance with safety regulations.
7. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues to the appropriate supervisor.
8. Collaborate with other team members and contractors to coordinate maintenance projects effectively.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Handyman or in a similar maintenance role, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
2. CSCS card
3. Happy to be DBS checked
4. Strong knowledge of various trades
5. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
8. Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour as required.
9. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
10. Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
11. Own tools, transport
