Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 5 and/or CMI Level 3.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Experience in leading practice and working with vulnerable children and young people.
  • Ability to work within a team and foster a child-centered and empathetic approach.
  • Essential: Experience in assessment work and theoretical perspectives in post-abuse work.

Children and Family Community Services is seeking a dedicated Home Manager based in an Island location. Home Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the needs of children and staff are met in a fair and balanced way. You will lead a team of Residential Support Workers, fostering an environment that promotes equal opportunities and challenges discrimination.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a small team of Residential Support Workers, ensuring the well-being of children in your care.
  • Uphold best practice and adhere to departmental processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Budgetary management of the small group home, ensuring resources are used appropriately.
  • Develop strategies and plans to support change, self-esteem, motivation, and resilience.
  • Encourage educational attendance, appointments, and commitments to foster routines and self-reliance.
