Graduate Geotechnical Engineer - Ground Investigation Leader

Based just south of Glasgow my client is one of the UK's leading companies in its field. They are the amalgamation of various smaller companies leading to a combined 350 years experience. They work across Ground Investigation, Remediation, Testing, Geo-environmental, Geothermal and a range of other disciplines. As a company they can provide services to support a complete projects life cycle. They are keen to take on Graduate and Assistant Engineers.

The role would be mainly focused around Ground Investigation supporting the wider Geotechnical team.

Key responsibilities include;

• Sampling and logging soil and rock to professional standards (BS5930/Eurocode 7/BS14688/BS14689).
• Conducting trial pitting and in situ testing.
• Site supervision.
• Preparing risk assessments and method statements (under Senior Project Engineer guidance).
• Office-based project management.
• Factual reporting.
• Data management.
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers as needed.

Requirements:

• BSc in Geological, Geo-environmental, or Geotechnical related discipline
• Full driving licence
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation, comfortable with tight deadlines
• Proficiency in software such as Word and Excel
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
