We are searching for a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to join our client's team in Truro.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will have the chance to influence the company's financial strategies and make a significant impact on the business.

Key responsibilities include:

- Producing and reviewing monthly and quarterly management accounts, providing insightful analysis and commentary to senior management

- Assisting with the annual budgeting and forecasting process

- Line managing a small team, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success

- Conducting thorough and accurate audits to ensure financial compliance

- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy

- Collaborating with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making

- Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders

- Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline financial processes

- Providing guidance and support to the team on technical accounting issues, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

- A professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA

- Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience using financial reporting and budgeting software

- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner

- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines

- Proven experience in team management and development

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
