Salary: £12.00 - £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Painted Group Limited operates through two subsidiaries: Painted Bespoke Joinery and Painted LTD. Painted Bespoke Joinery, located in Croydon, is our manufacturing hub specialising in custom joinery and woodwork. Painted LTD in Wimbledon serves as our dedicated spray shop, where meticulous surface preparation and spray painting are conducted to produce high-quality finishes. This strategic division allows us to manage each aspect of production and finishing with exceptional precision, serving both commercial and residential clients across the UK.

Position Overview:

We are seeking 2-3 industrious individuals to fill roles at both of our specialised facilities. These positions, Wood Preparation Specialist at Wimbledon and General Labourer at Croydon, are critical for maintaining our reputation for excellence and efficiency.

Wimbledon - Wood Preparation Specialist at Painted LTD:

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare wood and MDF surfaces for spray painting, ensuring all materials are sanded, cleaned, and ready to be primed to perfection
• Maintain a tidy and efficient environment in the spray shop
• Assist master sprayers with various tasks, including paint mixing and tool cleaning/preparation
• Ensure the spray shop operates smoothly by performing general maintenance duties
• Manage and maintain tools and equipment, adhering to strict safety and quality guidelines

Croydon - General Labourer at Painted Bespoke Joinery:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the manufacturing processes at Painted Bespoke Joinery by supporting craftsmen with various tasks
• Keep the factory floor and workstations clean and organised to promote a safe and efficient workspace
• Handle the reception and organisation of deliveries, ensuring materials and supplies are correctly stocked and accessible
• Display flexibility and adaptability, as no two days are the same, with various tasks to be tackled enthusiastically

Required Skills and Experience:

• For Wimbledon: Experience in wood preparation, with extensive knowledge of techniques required for high-quality finish preparation. General labour skills and maintenance capability in a paint shop setting are advantageous. This role will suit a person with decorator's experience
• For Croydon: Experience in general labour within industrial or manufacturing environments, capable of performing a wide range of supportive tasks including entry level joinery
• Proficiency with tools and equipment necessary for wood surface preparation and general labour tasks
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing premium-quality outputs
• Excellent organizational skills, capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
• Proactive, hardworking, and capable of working independently and as part of a team
