My client are looking for an electrician on a permanent basis to work on social housing projects in Durham.
This role will provide an effective service through the installation, maintenance and repair works of electrical systems across a range of domestic and commercial settings. You will be provided with a company van
- Working as part of a squad delivering high volume minor works for social housing providers and local authorities.
- Installing, servicing and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with current Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.
- Install, repair, inspect and test electrical installations and complete correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report.
- Diagnose and repair electrical problems on domestic electrical systems, including fault finding, and rewiring.
- Undertake jobs as directed on company subscribed software.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Essential Skills:
- Qualified to BS7671 18th edition (amendment 2) and C&G 2391 testing inspection
- Ecs Gold Card
- 2+ years of experience preferred
- Previous experience in social housing preferred but not essential
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good writing and presentation skills
- Able to use MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
