Company Overview:
Our client is a dynamic and fast-growing engineering consultancy. Open for under a year and already making a significant impact in the civil and maritime engineering sector. Based in central London and part of a larger group, they work on a variety of exciting projects. From quay walls and breakwaters to LNG jetties, ports, and river walls. With a reputation for working across the full project lifecycle, from pre-planning and pre-site acquisition through to validation and construction. Their focus is on delivering innovative and effective solutions in the near-shore and maritime environment. Projects are all over the UK with tendering for international projects in the process.

Role Overview:
They are seeking a Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the nearshore/maritime sector. This role requires someone who is adaptable, driven, and excited to take on new challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience in infrastructure, bridge design, reinforced concrete structures, and other areas where water meets land.

Responsibilities:

• Design and manage projects related to quay walls, births, breakwaters, ports, pipelines, and other nearshore/maritime structures.
• Conduct survey work and due diligence for client purchases and projects.
• Contribute to projects such as refurbishment of locked gates, steel gates, and flood defence structures.
• Write detailed reports and analyse complex data to inform decision-making.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, especially those aiming for chartership.

Qualifications:

• Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong design skills with a focus on nearshore/maritime infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, or other structural engineering software.
• Exceptional report-writing and data analysis skills.
• Experience in project management and working with clients in the UK and internationally.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid environment, with a preference for being in the office when possible.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to adapt to new challenges.
