Job Title: Specialist Support Tutor

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £26,034 - £29,003 per annum (pro rata of £29,605 - £32,982) - SS4

Job type: Permanent, Full-time. 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join University College Birmingham's Disability Support team as a Specialist Support Tutor. You will be joining a growing team at an exciting time in UCB's development, which has seen the opening of several first-class teaching/ study environments.

As a key part of the Learning Services directorate, you will join our experienced team to provide 1:1 academic support for HE students with SpLDs/disabilities, as well as providing students and staff with advice regarding support, exam arrangements, the DSA process, assistive technologies, SpLDs and disabilities.

You will have experience of supporting students who have an SpLD or disability in an educational setting and will have excellent communication and record-keeping skills. You will also be expected to be flexible in your approach to work and to act proactively.
