Unlock Your Potential: Join Us as a Family Support Worker

NonStop is partnering with a Organisation in the North of England and are looking for experienced Family Support Workers to make a difference to local service users and families.

Benefits:

  • Long Term, Stable Contract: Take comfort in knowing that you have job security in this long-term contract, until March 2025 (with scope to become ongoing).
  • Flexible Work Hours: Enjoy a work-life balance that suits you. Choose between full-time (37 hours per week), condensed hours, or 30 hours over 4 days.
  • Work from Home: Take advantage of our flexible working arrangements with up to 2 days a week from home.
  • Travel Expenses Covered: Travel costs from the office to family visits are on us, so you can focus on providing exceptional support without worrying about expenses.
  • Professional Growth: Gain valuable experience in a supportive environment. Even if you're new to the Signs of Safety framework, we welcome your application and offer the chance to learn on the job.
  • Manage Your Own Schedule: Enjoy the autonomy to plan your own workdays and ensure the best outcomes for the families you support.

Your Role:

As a Family Support Worker, you will be the cornerstone of support for families experiencing low-level worries about parenting. Your role will involve:

  • Conducting Assessments: Identify the needs of families and develop customised support plans.
  • Providing Practical Support: Help parents implement effective routines and boundaries, and offer extra support to those affected by mental health challenges.
  • Regular Reviews: Conduct reviews every 6 weeks to monitor progress and adjust support plans as needed.
  • Short-Term Intervention: Oversee families for up to 3 months, ensuring they receive the support they need within a manageable timeframe. Extend support if necessary.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Background in supporting parents and understanding parenting strategies. Prior experience as a Child Protection (CP) Social Worker is advantageous but not essential.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to manage your own schedule and work independently.
  • Empathy and Compassion: Strong desire to make a positive impact on families' lives.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel from the office to family visits (travel expenses provided).

If you're interested in this opportunity, please send your CV to t.napier@nonstopconsulting.com or contact Thomas Napier at 0207 940 2100 (EXT 7730) for a confidential discussion about your future prospects.
