Production Manager

Location - Easily commutable from Rochdale, Huddersfield, Stockport, Oldham, Manchester

Currently looking for an experienced Production Manager to manage and develop a large established production team, focusing on assembly, test diagnosis and repair within an Electro- Mechanical environment.

The successful candidate will play an essential part in the business communicating with all relevant departments i.e. Supply Chain, Quality, Sales, Operations, etc.

Duties Include

• Lead & manage staff within the division to reach production targets
• Develop and train staff to ensure continuity for capabilities and products throughout the company
• Constantly revue the business environment to ensure staff are fully capable
• Continuous Improvement - Drive improvement across all areas
• Work closely with engineering, procurement, contracts, sales, contracts etc.
• Help diagnose technical issues & offer solutions when possible
• Keeping data logs up to date.
• Ensure maintenance records are up to date
• Confident & comfortable to implement changes if necessary. Team set up, processes etc.

Candidate Specific

• Ideal backgrounds could include but not limited to Electronic Assembly, RF, Defence, Aerospace, Automotive, etc.
• Understanding / knowledge of ISO9001
• Understanding / knowledge of IPC, J-Standard
• A strong leader
• Personable
• Flexible
• Ability to implement change
• Knowledge / experience of Assembly, testing, repair within electro-mechanical assembly
• Electronic experience

Essential Requirements

• HNC or HND or above within engineering
• 5 years managerial experience
• Ability to interpret diagrams
• Electronic Repair, Service, or Maintenance Engineering background
