Quality and Technical Assistant (Permanent)
Search Consultancy is looking for a capable Quality Control & Technical Assistant for our prestigious client in the Grantown-on-Spey area.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: circa £15,600.00 /year + overtime
Our client's food production centre is a recognised expert in the preparation of quality, Scottish produce. Distributing directly from the Highlands of Scotland their products make their way to wholesalers all over the UK. Their superior quality is reflected in the presentation of their finished product and the natural/ ethical values when sourcing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Quality Control:
* Ensuring production standards comply with EU/ UK legislation & accreditation expectations
* Ensuring personal standards and policies are met when entering the production environment
* Collecting swab samples from produce and posting to laboratory testing sites
* Responding to incoming client communications/ queries
* Documenting/ recording variables in the production environment i.e. room temperature, production task time
* Processing data into excel spreadsheets
* Label writing/ printing for production operatives
* General maintenance of on-site equipment/ machinery
* Management of dry goods stock. Ensuring quantities of disposable items are maintained and replenished when appropriate
* Desirable attributes:
Experience in a food production environment
Good IT skills (Microsoft office, stock management systems)
Flexible, highly motivated, effective team player
Attention to detail
Great communication skills
