Mathematics Teacher - Independent School

Location: Westminster

Start Date: April 2018

Contract: Permanent - Full Time

Salary: Excellent and dependent on candidates experience and qualification

We are currently looking for a well organised and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join an Independent college

Our client is a well-regarded independent school with an excellent reputation locally and across London. The college is part of a wider group of independent schools and has a Head Office nearby.

To be considered for the position of Mathematics Teacher you must have previous good teaching of mathematics, within a classroom environment. Also need to be highly organised and able to work in a busy environment and ideally within a school/college environment.

Essential Personal Specification & Skills

• Qualifications: A good honours Maths degree
• Expertise and academic competence; the ability to seek, review and apply best practice Some of the students may not have English as a first language, when studying Maths
• A minimum of two years' Maths teaching experience for those without a teaching qualification.
• Commitment to on-going professional development and training to develop outstanding classroom practice
• To be able to engage with and be proficient in the use of technology
• Demonstrate a commitment to high quality teaching and learning by supporting initiatives within the Faculty

Desirable; QTS Teaching qualification and/or other post graduate qualification

• Previous experience of teaching international students would therefore be an advantage.

Our Client accept applications from NQTs and provide a programme to support their Statutory Induction year at the college.
